Regarding Hotel Measures For Preventing Novel Coronavirus Infection
In order to prioritize the safety and security of our guests, as well as the health of our employees, Hotel Metropolitan is carrying out the following measures to prevent infection by the novel coronavirus. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
[Accommodation]
- Installation of shields to protect against infection by airborne droplets at check-in counters
- Inquiring about the physical condition and most recent transit point to the guest coming from overseas at check-in.
- Asking guests who, within the previous 14 days, have visited regions or countries where coronavirus is spreading to cooperate with these measures by staying in their room, etc.
- With regards to cleaning of guest rooms, performing appropriate ventilation and cleaning, and disinfecting doorknobs, toilet seats, etc.

[Restaurants]
In order to carry out social distancing (avoidance of close gatherings, close contact, and enclosed spaces) and allow customers to use restaurants safely, we are carrying out the following measures.
- [Avoiding enclosed spaces] Air ventilation that meets the required amount recommended by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (30 m2 per person per hour)
- [Avoiding close contact and close gatherings] Reducing the number of tables and seats to limit close contact/gatherings
- We will do our best to show even small groups to the largest tables possible.
- We avoid seating guests opposite each other as much as possible, instead encouraging guests to sit in a row or in alternating seats.

- [Avoiding close contact] Installation of shields to protect against infection by airborne droplets at cashier counters
- [Avoiding enclosed spaces] Doors of private rooms are left open (all private rooms are available to use free of charge)
- [Avoiding close contact and close gatherings] Limit on number of people entering a bakery shop
- Tables, chairs, and menus are regularly wiped down with disinfectant
- When settling the bill, members of staff carrying out the transaction wear gloves
- When settling the bill, cash and cards are received using a cash tray rather than being handled directly. Ball pens etc. are disinfected.
- Guests are asked to use alcohol disinfectant when entering the restaurant

[Measures for employees]
- Checking body temperature before going to work
- We wear face shields when we feel we need more
- Mandatory hand-washing, mouth-washing, enforcement of cough etiquette, area ventilation, and wearing of masks
- Instructions to stop attendance at work and receive an examination at a medical institution in cases of poor physical condition, i.e. fever, cough or other symptoms
- Instructions to limit domestic business trips, study and training courses, meetings, and face-to-face contact during overseas business trips, and to carry out social distancing (avoidance of close gatherings, close contact, and enclosed spaces)
- Leaving doors open in public spaces, ventilating public spaces, and placing of disinfectant in public spaces
